COWABUNGA!

Little Blaze was born in July 2008 with half a heart, a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). At just 4 days old he had his first open heart surgery, followed by a second at 7 months old, and a third surgery just before his 3rd birthday.

At 7 years old, Blaze is currently thriving. He does need heart caths and procedures periodically to evaluate his heart health and may need a heart transplant later in life, but for now, right now, he and his family are enjoying his full and happy life!

To celebrate Blaze’s 7th birthday, Cara Carel of Rocky Hill Cakes in Russellville, MO made a stacked pizza cake that would make a Ninja Turtle go COWABUNGA! Blaze’s family shares that “This entire experience has been wonderful. Such a blessing! We loved our baker and our wonderful cake! Thank you so very much.”
