A tumor was found in her salivary gland, which quickly meant surgery to get it removed. It was the start of a difficult year, but Gabriella is a fighter!

After surgery, she was admitted to the hospital for four to six days at a time, completing 33 radiation treatments and 12 chemotherapy treatments, ending mid-October. She has overcome a tremendous feat and is an inspiration to those who hear her story. Gabriella completed her chemo treatments just in time to return to school and fully enjoy Thanksgiving!

Gabriella and her family celebrated the end of her chemotherapy treatments with a big party, surrounded with friends. They enjoyed a beautiful cake baked by the talented Jackie Selle that depicted the ocean and colorful sunrise, marking the start of a bright new year.
