Kaylee Kicks Cancer

Kaylee is a warrior princess! She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on March 28, 2015, at 18 months old. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia affects the white blood cells. Symptoms include bruising, fever, bone pain, enlarged lymph nodes, and frequent infections. Shortly after being diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, Kaylee developed severe infections. The infections were so serious that she almost did not survive.

Kaylee has undergone white blood cell transfusions and intense chemotherapy since she was only one and a half years old. After spending almost a hundred days in a hospital, she was finally able to go home. Life has certainly not been easy for Kaylee and her family, but friends and family are there supporting each other every step of the way.

Even birthday’s are not an exception for cancer, but those days are about to end soon. Kaylee’s treatment is expected to be completed on September 28, 2017, which is two days after she turns 4 years old! The conclusion? She is kicking cancer’s bottom. Cancer definitely picked the wrong princess to mess with.

For Kaylee’s third birthday, her Sugar Angel Jami Mosher baked her a beautiful Finding Nemo inspired cake, featuring Mr. Ray, Nemo, Dory and Hank.
