Celebrate with Cece!

Cece was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on June 26th, 2018. She started showing symptoms of leukemia in April of 2018. Cece and her mom had multiple doctor evaluations and two emergency room visits with symptoms of muscle aches and stiffness, fatigue, extreme weight loss, loss of appetite, excessive sweating, and a limp. At first, doctors said that Cece was just having growing pains.

Despite the challenges and uncertainty, Cece’s persistence finally lead to answers. After the diagnosis, everything moved very quickly. Cece received treatments for the next two and a half years, and was at a much higher risk of getting sick because of the chemotherapy. She is incredibly courageous and isn’t letting cancer hold her back!

She got a new baby brother months into treatment, and she started preschool about 7 months after being diagnosed and is doing well.

Cece celebrated her 5th birthday with a small family get together with a unicorn/L.O.L. Suprise doll cake created by Lydia Carter of Celene’s Cuisine. Cece’s family said, ” the cake was absolutely amazing!!”.
